The conference is expected to be attended by some 150-200 participants, most of them from the Nordic countries but also from other countries. They are all interested in the fields of knowledge organization, information tasks, librarianship, learning and teaching, web development as well as other aspects of information technology. The conference language is English.

"Aula Magna: The Great Lecture Hall
With seating for 1200, the University's largest lecture hall, Aula Magna, was officially inaugurated in November 1997. The architect, Ralph Erskine, has selected natural building materials such as wood, brick, glass and stone, allowing the architecture to engage in a dialogue with its natural surroundings. The Great Hall and seminar rooms of Aula Magna splendidly fulfil the university need for a capacious hall for lectures, conferences, seminars and academic ceremonies. Aula Magna is also the scene of many other major events, such as public addresses by visiting foreign dignitaries and Nobel Prize lectures."
